Bangkok University Instructors and Students Win 4 APHEIT Awards in 2024

 

The Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (APHEIT) has awarded outstanding personnel and students who have made remarkable contributions to private higher education. This year, Bangkok University Instructor and students received a total of 4 awards.

 

 

Mr. Narubed  Rakwichit, a student from the School of Entrepreneurship and Management (BU International), who received the Outstanding Individual Student Activity Award

 

 

DITTO PRODUCTION team from the School of Communication Arts, who won the Outstanding Team Student Activity Award

 

 

Asst. Prof.Dr.Rittirong  Chutapruttikorn, Assistant Professor from the School of Architecture, who received the Outstanding Academic Staff Award in Social Sciences

 

 

Dr.Somjai  Siritrakankij, Associate Dean, Bangkok University International Programs, who won the Outstanding Thesis Award at the Doctoral level in Social Sciences

 

 

Bangkok University extends congratulations to all faculty members and students who have demonstrated exceptional academic and extracurricular excellence, bringing great pride to Bangkok University.

This marks another platform that gave students the opportunity to express Inclusive Design concepts through work that connects people, society, and lived experience. Two architecture students — Miss Natcha Panti (Fang), creator of the Cognitive Health Promotion Center for Alzheimer's Prevention and Integrated Elderly Care, Tha Khlong Municipality, and Miss Suthatip Chuakaew (Mameaw), creator of the School for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder — presented their thesis projects at รวมมิตรบางกอก: Bangkok Inclusive Art Festival, adapting their presentations to make architectural work more accessible to the general public through storytelling and interactive activities. The festival was organized by the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, in collaboration with the Foundation for Children with Disabilities, The Rainbow Room Foundation, British Council Thailand, and Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS).

Students from School of Architecture presented their work as 1 of 17 selected pieces from 10 universities featured in Bangkok Design Week 2026 — a design festival showcasing visions and works that strengthen Bangkok's creative potential. Under the brief "SOMETHING TO STAY____ON", the completed installation was exhibited at Emsphere at EM District, and visitors could actually sit in the seating pavilion.

In the premiere episode, meet A.Pichai Wongwaisayawan (A.Bo), Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Bangkok University, who views architecture not merely as building construction, but as "designing for human experience" in its truest sense.
