School of Fine and Applied Arts in collaboration with Shiseido (Thailand) Company Limited organized the Shiseido x BU: Beauty of Art Contest 2024 project. The drawing competition under the theme Beauty Innovation for Better World utilized expired cosmetic products from Shiseido Group brands as drawing materials to demonstrate their stance on environmental sustainability and circular economy while providing a new experience for students. This project was conducted as part of the ACI 212 Figure Drawing course for Art and Design students. The judging and award ceremony for the Beauty of Art Contest was held at Room A3-203, 2nd floor, Building A3.

 

 

K.Parichart Veerasatien Managing Director of Shiseido Group Thailand and Asst. Prof.Dr.Aunya Singsangob, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presided over the judging and award ceremony. Additionally, the executive team from Shiseido (Thailand) presented a support fund of 100,000 baht to Bangkok University.

The 15 finalists presented their works to the judging panel, which consisted of executives from Shiseido (Thailand) Company Limited, Bangkok University administrators, and faculty members from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts. 

 

 

The winning entries were: First Prize: Mr. Adivit Jaksathan

 

 

First Runner-up: Mr. Thiradon Arsakhati

 

 

Second Runners-up: Mr. Inthanon Inchanasiri

 

 

Second Runners-up: Miss Saruda Prateepmakintra 

The other finalists received honorable mention awards, products, and certificates. All finalist works will be publicized according to the project objectives.
