2 Fine and Applied Arts Students Make Their Name on the National Stage, Claiming the Top Award at Degree Shows 2025

Congratulations to students from the Communication Design program and the Fashion Design program, School of Fine and Applied Arts, for winning 2 "Best Thesis Artwork" awards — the major prizes from the Degree Shows 2025 stage.

Miss Narakorn Kasemsuttikul, a student from the Communication Design program, claimed the Best of Graphic Design award and the highest honor, Best of the Shows, for her book series design project "Lim Phochana." Behind this success is a project intentionally created to collect and preserve the traditional recipes of the Lim family, so that this flavorful heritage would not fade away. What makes the work stand out is the art of print layout, brimming with color and exquisitely refined detail. Most touching of all, this work beautifully conveys the "warmth of family" — born from connection and communication — throughout the entire design process.

Miss Jaruwan Khongsaengngam, a student from the Fashion Design program, claimed the Best of Fashion Design award for her work "C.RETRICBLUE" — a women's clothing design collection inspired by the "electric blue tarantula," reinterpreted through the reconstruction of natural structures and details into contemporary fashion that stands out with its distinctive silhouette and texture. The work also reflects a concept of sustainability through design that considers the efficient use of materials, the reduction of fabric waste, and the upcycling of fabric scraps into spider-hair-like surface details — demonstrating an outstanding fusion of creativity with responsible fashion design practices.
