BU Drives Hospitality Education Through Partnership with ONYX Hospitality Group

School of Humanities and Tourism Management and Bangkok University International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic and professional cooperation with ONYX Hospitality Group, a leading hotel management and hospitality service company in the Asia-Pacific region, to elevate teaching and learning management to align with industry needs and enhance learning from real-world experiences.

 

 

Signing Ceremony The signing ceremony was conducted by executives from both parties. Representing Bangkok University were Assoc. Prof.Dr.Supachet Chansarn, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs; Asst.Prof.Dr.Duangthida Nunthapirat, Assistant to the President and Acting Dean, Bangkok University International Programs; and Ajarn Jermsuda Manakul, Dean, School of Humanities and Tourism Management. Representing ONYX Hospitality Group were Ms. Rudklao Charoensuk, Director of Talent Development, and Mr. Niwat Waityamongkol, Senior Director of Service Experience, Talent Management & Culture.

 

 

This collaboration encompasses knowledge exchange in hotel management, service, and human resources; special lectures; and Practical Learning activities. It also provides opportunities for students to gain professional experience at ONYX hotel properties under major brands such as Amari, OZO, and Shama, to develop professional skills and international competencies essential for working in the global hospitality industry.

 

 

As a hotel management organization with over 50 years of experience, ONYX Hospitality Group plays a crucial role in elevating Thailand's service standards to international levels. This collaboration combines the potential of educational institutions and the industry sector to create quality human resources, meet labor market demands, and strengthen the competitiveness of Thailand's hotel and hospitality industry on the world stage.
