The Banquet at Bangkok University Achieves National Venue Standard Certification (TMVS), Meeting the Demands of Professional Meetings and Events

In an era of continuous growth in the MICE industry and event management, venue standards are at the heart of building confidence and elevating service quality to the international level — encompassing facilities, technology, service, and sustainable management, all of which are essential components for hosting professional meetings, seminars, and events.

The Banquet meeting room at Bangkok University has received the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) certification in the conference room category from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) (TCEB) — the leading national agency for elevating MICE industry standards.

The certification emblem was presented at the MICE Standards Day 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, presided over by Mr. Napinthorn Srisanpang, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, who presented the certification emblems to accredited venues nationwide.

This certification reflects Bangkok University's readiness to develop its facilities to fully meet MICE industry standards across all four key dimensions: physical structure and infrastructure, audio-visual and communication technology, service standards, and sustainable management.

The TMVS is a national venue quality certification system that validates a venue's capability to host conferences, seminars, and MICE activities to industry standards. It also creates opportunities for students to learn within a certified real-world venue — building experience and readiness for future careers in the MICE industry.
