School of Business Administration Organizes "Project-Based Learning – BU x April's Bakery x SME Thai"

Management Program, Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program, Digital Marketing Program, and International Business Management Program, School of Business Administration, in collaboration with April's Bakery by Singha Food Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and the Thai SME Federation, organized a Final Pitching event under the "BU x April's Bakery x SME Thai" project. This activity is part of Project-Based Learning and incorporates Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) content as part of the brief given by the companies and organizations, enabling students to practice analyzing, planning, and presenting solutions to real business challenges. This is one of the ongoing projects arising from the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Thai SME Federation.


The event was honored by executives from April’s Bakery, led by K.Kanokkan Mathuraporn, Managing Director of Singha Food Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and her team, along with executives from the Thai SME Federation, led by K.Rungroj Rangsiyopas, Chairman of the Trade and Investment Committee of the Thai SME Federation, and the Thai SME Federation team: K.Narathip Phibanchommi, President of YoungSME Thai SME Federation; K.Ekachai Sookchai, Vice Chairman of the Trade and Investment Promotion Committee of the Thai SME Federation; and K.Chawin Piyapinyo, Vice President of YoungSME Thai SME Federation, who served as judges for the final round and presented awards.



This activity featured presentations from 6 finalist teams. Students from multiple programs collaborated to brainstorm, analyze real business challenges, and present creative business development plans to support Thai entrepreneurs. April's Bakery executives awarded a total of 21,000 baht in scholarships to the students. The 1st and 2nd place winning teams each received 5,000 baht, and honorable mention teams each received 2,000 baht. The award recipients are as follows:



- 1st Place Winner: Team องค์ลง A
- 2nd Place Winners: Team Mini Cake and Team เติบโต
- Honorable Mentions: Team เมะมาแล้วครับ, Team Gen Z Lunch Pad, and Team ไก่กับไข่

In addition, April's Bakery gift sets were presented to all student teams, Thai SME Federation executives, Faculty of Business Administration executives, faculty members, and Bangkok University staff.



The event was hosted by A.Vajirawit Siripiyaphat, Chairperson, International Business Management Department, who delivered the welcome address and presented commemorative gifts to the judges, along with Dr.Krairoek Pinkaeo, Dean, School of Business Administration; Dr.Nittana Tarnittanakorn, Associate Dean School of Business Administration; Asst. Prof.Rapeepan Wongprasert, Associate Dean School of Business Administration; Dr.Naunghathai Intakhantee, Chairperson, Management Department; Dr.Worawat Joradon, Chairperson, Logistics Management Department; and Dr.Kittipoom Supamontri, Director, Digital Marketing Program, all of whom supported the project.


The project organizing team was led by Dr.Penjira Kanthawongs, Instructor in the Management Program and project leader; A.San Pinkaew, Instructor in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program; A.Khanaphot Wongchaleang, Instructor in the Digital Marketing Program; and A.Sorranan Rongrodejanarug, Instructor in the International Business Management Program, as co-organizing faculty members. The event was held at Pongtip Meeting Room 1, 9th Floor, Building C2, Bangkok University.
